Light is a magical substance that shows the material world in front of our eyes and makes the illuminated objects visible.


Light can still play a role in decorating the space without changing the space at all. For example, the use of light can increase or decrease the perception of space, connect unrelated spaces, distinguish different areas, or give color to spaces.


Light can also help memory, make people associate, and affect people's emotions. At the same time, because the light itself has many physical properties, the differences in these physical properties result in great differences in the appearance of the illuminated object in the human eye.

Why Lighting Design


For example, the light intensity determines the brightness of the illuminated object;


The color and color rendering of light affect the color performance of the illuminated object;


The direction of the light affects the three-dimensionality of the illuminated object, shadows, glare, etc.


Practice has proved that in order to reasonably create a comfortable light environment, various physical parameters such as illuminance, irradiation direction, uniformity, contrast, light color, color rendering and glare should be taken into account, and the differences of people in this environment should also be considered. Activity.


Therefore, it is possible to achieve this goal only by organically combining function-based bright vision lighting with comfort-based ambient lighting. The means to achieve this goal is lighting design.


Similarly, if the lighting design only considers the physical characteristics such as illuminance and color rendering, and only meets the optimal working environment of the physiological aspect of vision, while ignoring the psychological aspect of the visual environment, the results are often disappointing. Only by fully considering people's activity needs and psychological characteristics, and paying attention to people's feelings about lighting, can the lighting design meet the maximum enjoyment of the visual environment.
